What to Bring

What to Bring?

Please remember label all your child's belongings.

School bag large enough to carry lunch their belongings and be self-managed.
Piece of fruit, raw vegetables or cheese for morning tea in a small container labelled with child's name.
Lunch box with child’s name clearly labelled: Refer Lunch Suggestions for ideas. We recommend lunches be wrapped with a cloth napkin instead of plastic wrap as children find it difficult to handle. We would like to teach the children to be environmentally friendly and this supports our sustainable practices at Preschool.
Complete change of clothes, children often play with water at preschool. Please label your child's belongings
Fitted cot sheet in a drawstring bag and a cuddly toy, only if required for rest. (There is no formal rest period- children engage in quiet relaxation).
Hand towel with a loop sewn on one corner for hanging.
Large box of tissues to be brought at beginning of term 1, to be shared throughout the year. (No name required)
Screw top bottle with water. Water rehydrates the brain; other drinks do not. The children gain a lot more learning to unscrew the lids and pour their water. We have filtered water at Preschool to top up your child’s bottle. Please, no fizzy drinks or fruit poppers.
Toys may be brought in for news or comfort, but they are to be left in bags and used only for news or quiet time. Talking about family life and bringing in shells, leaves, rocks and photos develops communication skills better than showing off a toy and what it can do.
